Project Description
Pope Francis Center (PFC) is addressing the issue of chronic homelessness in Detroit with the Bridge Housing Campus, a first-of-its-kind facility for Michigan that will provide guests with shelter and services before they transition to permanent supportive housing. The Vella Group organized a ceremonial groundbreaking in December 2021 at the site of the $30 million project in Detroit’s Core City neighborhood. The event featured PFC Executive Director Fr. Tim McCabe, Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, Ford CEO Jim Farley and other prominent city officials and donors. Our media relations efforts have generated ongoing coverage of the Bridge Housing project and its funding in the Detroit news media.
